Policies and documentation

Policies and guidelines

Introduction: All schools will need to align their cyber safety policies with their school-wide vision for learning and long-term strategic planning. Considerations will need to be made in relation to how to mentor our students to be savvy, ethical digital citizens, how to keep our students safe online, how to provide a safe electronic environment (infrastructure) for our students to work in and how to educate our parents. Clarie Amos has shared the three attached documents. She writes, "It was originally developed by Angela Butterworth as our Acceptable User Policy and then I tweaked it (basically just renamed it) as a Digital Citizenship Contract this year. Tutor teachers gave it out to students with the attached presentation and completed a range of discussions (also attached). The PPT is too wordy (it is a work in progress). My aim was that the student's engaged with it and unpacked it rather than simply signing it without even reading it." Thanks for sharing this with the MLE listserve Claire.
